The ability to lay down quick colour and texture with water colours has been a good experiment to see how well it can then be translated and taken to a digital medium and then taken further. The process of detailing digitally from a water colour base is surprisingly quick and the effects of the base painting adds to the concepts atmosphere.
these two are watercolours that have been taken forward to detail. The interesting effects of the painting underneath lends well to how i paint and creates a powerful atmosphere.
